Nominations Process

The nominations process for 2009 will start on May 15, 2009 and will end on June 30, 2009. The nominees will be announced at the Nominations Brunch on July 18, 2009 at Melba's Restaurant in Harlem. In order for books to be nominated, they must be published between July 2008 and June 2009.

Voting for the 2009 African American Literary Awards has officially ended. 

Don't forget to purchase your tickets for the live show on Thursday, September 24th at The Harlemstage Gatehouse ( 135th street and Convent Avenue ).
